Affair Recovery · Lincoln, Nebraska
When trust is broken, the path forward isn't obvious.
You may not know yet whether you want to stay or go. That's okay. Our job isn't to push you in either direction — it's to help you process what happened and decide together with clear eyes.

Many relationships do survive an affair — and some emerge stronger.
That's not wishful thinking. It's what the research shows, and what we've seen in this office. But recovery doesn't happen on its own. Left unaddressed, the betrayal gets buried and resurfaces as contempt, withdrawal, or a slow erosion of trust that ends the relationship anyway.
Recovery is possible — but only if both partners are willing to do the real work: the betraying partner being genuinely accountable, not just apologetic, and the betrayed partner able to process the pain without it becoming the relationship's permanent identity. Both are hard. Both are learnable.
How the work unfolds
How affair recovery works in our sessions
Affair recovery isn't a single process — it unfolds in phases, each with its own demands. We move through them at the pace that's right for you.

One thing we've learned
The couples who recover from affairs aren't the ones who sweep it under the rug fastest. They're the ones willing to look at the relationship honestly — including the things that were already wrong before the affair happened. That's uncomfortable work. But it's the work that creates something genuinely different on the other side: not the old relationship patched up, but a new one built on a foundation that's actually solid.
You don't have to figure this out alone.
The first call is a conversation — no pressure, no commitment. We'll listen to your situation and help you understand what the work would look like.
